WordCampNYC 2012 was great.
The crowd was an excellent mix of hard-core coding geeks, designers, content specialists, and folks new to WordPress. (And I got to speak to a full cross-section of them in my content marketing presentation.)
The presenters ran the same gamut, so there was really something for everyone. Getting into WordPress’ core code and creating widgets and plugins, learning the basics and understanding what WordPress can do, creating and promoting content to help market your business … the organizers did a great job of appealing to a broad audience.
Check out the Saturday schedule to see what I mean. There were a couple of presentations that weren’t quite as advertised, but they were far outnumbered by folks with valuable info to pass along. Already looking forward to next year.
