The question, “What do you mean by ‘online communication strategy’?” has come up a couple of times in the past few weeks as I’ve met with potential clients and even existing clients who hadn’t been aware of the full range of what we do. Here’s my answer.
The message. It’s all about the message.
Short and sweet. There’s more, of course. Because the message is all about the audience.
To us, strategy isn’t about picking the coolest tech tools or creating graphics meant to win design contests. It’s about implementing the tools that will be most effective in delivering your message to your audience.
Everyone loves picking on MySpace these days. But if that’s where your audience is, that’s where your message should be. Ask any of the musicians who have found huge fantasies there.
And that’s what we encourage you to do: learn as much as you can about your audience so you can connect with them where they’re most comfortable.
