A Scenic Tour of the Online World

Creativity, Google, and Vanity

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Alex Brownstein, an enterprising – and creative – copywriter found an unbeatable way to break through the clutter. He bought pay-per-click ads so when top creative directors Googled themselves (What? You’re not that vain? I’m not buying it.) the first link they saw was from … Alec Brownstein.

First I’m hearing of this, though it’s too good an idea for others not to have thought of it, too. This one seems to be getting much more exposure, though, so let the copycats begin. At least it gives the vain among us an excuse to Google ourselves.
