Blogging’s Big Impact For Small Business

Think blogging is passé in the age of social media? Not according to HubSpot’s recent research. (Via Marketing Profs.)

First, it’s no surprise that increased blogging activity corresponds with increased site traffic. Google and human audiences both love fresh content hot off the presses. (You check your Facebook feed 15 times a day because you’re expecting it to be the same each time? Didn’t think so …)

What’s more striking is how much bigger the impact of  active blogging can be for small businesses.

Clearly, if you’re a small business and you’re not blogging, you’re not getting the most out of your marketing.

We know that blogging is seen by many as an enormous commitment, a luxury they don’t have time for. (And probably something that scares the pants off them: having to create original content on a regular schedule.) But it doesn’t have to be complicated, and if you’re smart about the systems you put in place, it doesn’t have to be hard to keep “feeding the beast.” (The easiest way, ahem, might be to give us a call …)
